INTRO
Dear reader, my eight-week-long project is coming to an end soon. Next Tuesday, I will be posting a video with all that has happened since I started this project, with the latter being part of a class I am taking this semester at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, named Careers in Music. For the new reader, the goal was to complete my first studio recording on the repertoire I am currently working on. Well, the deadline might be close, but the project is for sure not yet complete. The hand injury I've been experiencing since February significantly slowed down the process. I have not recovered yet (sad face emoticon). The pain comes and goes. But I found a very interesting book that I am reading these days:
I agree with George R.R. Martin above; a deadline is not the finish line. These eight weeks have been the beginning, the starting fuel, and have given me strength and determination to finish this, even if it is not going to happen by the school deadline.
Who's excited for the GOT premiere this Sunday!?
This tune ("The Light of the Seven") by the very talented Ramin Djawadi, is stuck in my head. Watch this performance by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra:
Alright, back to the topic now!
WEEKLY UPDATE
Tomorrow is the crucial date! I have one (1) (ένα) recording session in the studio, where Jacob Ransom, DMA percussion student and valuable friend (check him out here) will be on the sound. I plan on recording everything twice, and see what I can keep afterwards. Wish me luck! As far as the album artwork, it is almost done - yay! Dear reader, musician or not, do not forget to:
Dear reader, thanks.
